Battery Bar for Android

Battery Bar draws a thin line across the top of your Android screen — above the status bar — that shows your battery level in real time. The color and length of the bar change as your battery drains, giving you an at-a-glance reading without opening any app or pulling down the notification shade.

The bar shows the full width of the screen at 100% and shrinks proportionally as the battery drains. Three color zones — green for good, yellow for warning, and red for critical — make the current level obvious at a distance.

Designed to stay out of the way

Battery Bar occupies only a few pixels at the very top of the screen. It never overlaps the status bar icons, never intercepts touches, and never shows a persistent notification. You can adjust its thickness from a fine hairline to a medium stripe, and dial the opacity down so it is barely visible on bright screens.

Spoken warnings

Battery Bar can read aloud a spoken warning when your battery reaches a threshold you set. You can configure the message and the percentage level for each of four warnings. A separate announcement plays when the battery is fully charged, so you know when to unplug.

Home screen widget

Add the Battery Bar widget to any home screen. It shows your current battery percentage and either the estimated time remaining or the charging status — Charging, Fast charging, or Super fast charging — updated continuously while the service is running.
